Jenna Gersie is a PhD candidate in English at University of Colorado Boulder where she studies American literature and the environmental humanities. Jenna has participated in the Wildbranch Writing Workshop, the Bread Loaf Orion Environmental Writers’ Conference, and the Environmental Literature Institute at Exeter, and she completed a fiction writing residency at the Vermont Studio Center. Her creative nonfiction, fiction, and scholarly articles have appeared in The Fourth River, ISLE, About Place Journal, Zoomorphic, Orion, and The Journal of Wild Culture, among others. After serving as managing editor and prose editor of The Hopper for nearly a decade, Jenna now manages The Hopper’s website, social media, and newsletter. Jenna’s website is jennagersie.com.
